The gaye device Great combination of electronic sounds which work really well with the flute arrangements. Reminding me of a Kosmische style from the 70s.

about

Coarbegh was once founded as a side-project of Poor Genetic Material, one of Germany’s best prog- and artrock bands. Since the release of their second album Dark Sky Reserve, Coarbegh has moved towards the territory of ambient music. Their truly original music is characterized by the tension that is created by the interplay of synthesizers and electronics on the one side and classic acoustic instruments on the other. Pia Darmstaedter’s flute and voice breathe life into Philipp Jaehne‘s electronic soundscapes, which provide the foundation and the frame for Coarbegh’s music. Short themes and melodies shine through the floating textures and rhythms and form a world of sounds rich in associations.
The music of the new album is built on and around sounds and atmospheres recorded at places in London which ring a bell to those familiar with rock- and pop-culture. So another evocative level is added to the fascinating music of Coarbegh.
The Sound And Flow Of London Town is available on CD (comes in a digisleeve) and digitally for download and streaming.
